We now have an EIN number with the IRS, and a business tax identification number with the city of San Jose where I listed myself as the CEO and founder and owner. I’m also the graphic designer, webmaster, and fashion designer? Now I just need to file me DBA but I have to get a CPA onboard for that. Aside from that we have solicited bids for all natural flip flops, we are thinking cork, rubber, leather, and/or cotton. The cork I am only interested in as support as it doesn’t wear well as a sole however leather does, and rubber is great for the treads, leather or cotton for the strap. We shall see how it goes. I was lucky enough to find a low MOQ manufacturer of leather sandals that are pretty good, hopefully in the color I like, still waiting to hear back from them. I was also overwhelmed by the response I got from the directory when I clicked the list this inquiry or something button and got a ton of replies. Unfortunately it seems that most did not understand I wanted natural materials such as rubber which seems to be the cheaper option for natural materials. I would prefer a leather upper however.
